Services
Therapeutic/Medical Massage
Therapeutic/Medical Massage targets structural imbalances and soft tissue restrictions to reduce pain and tension. Our NYS licensed therapists use deep tissue work and neuromuscular therapy to address chronic or acute conditions like headaches, neck pain, and reduced mobility. Clients receive customized sessions focusing on problem areas, with pressure adjusted to individual preferences. This service supports long-term wellness by restoring bodily balance and alleviating discomfort caused by repetitive strain or poor posture.
Sports/Performance Massage
Sports/Performance Massage focuses on injury recovery and athletic enhancement through targeted techniques. Designed for active individuals, it incorporates postural analysis, assisted stretching, and modalities like myofascial release to improve range of motion and speed recovery. Therapists address overuse injuries and biomechanical inefficiencies while offering hot/cold therapy options. Sessions are tailored to athletes' specific needs, whether recreational or professional, to optimize performance and prevent future injuries through personalized care.
Prenatal Massage
Prenatal Massage addresses pregnancy-related discomfort using specialized tables accommodating growing bellies. Our therapists employ gentle techniques to alleviate back pain, swelling, and stress while ensuring maternal comfort. Sessions focus on improving circulation, reducing joint pain, and promoting relaxation through safe positioning. With medical clearance, this service supports expectant mothers' physical well-being throughout pregnancy by addressing common musculoskeletal challenges associated with gestation.
Hot Stone Massage
Hot Stone Massage utilizes heated stones to relax muscles and enhance circulation for deeper tissue work. The stones' warmth increases blood flow, reduces inflammation, and facilitates toxin removal while promoting relaxation. Therapists combine heat therapy with Swedish techniques to address chronic pain and muscle stiffness. This service offers both immediate stress relief and long-term musculoskeletal benefits by improving tissue elasticity and reducing physical symptoms through controlled thermal application.
Myofascial Release
Myofascial Release addresses connective tissue restrictions causing pain and limited mobility through gentle, sustained pressure. Therapists target fascial adhesions to restore normal tissue function, improve circulation, and increase range of motion. This technique benefits clients with chronic pain, postural imbalances, or restricted movement patterns. Sessions focus on releasing tension throughout the myofascial system to create lasting improvements in comfort and physical performance through specialized manual therapy techniques.

Rachel is the best! She was magically able to treat my herniated disc when I was in pain and my range of motion was nearly zero. I have been a client for MANY years and trust them implicitly. I am a very grateful client.

I knew my psoas tendinitis was coming back and I was about to travel for three weeks. Staff fit me in, worked on me for 45 minutes, and completely alleviated the problem. Deep tissue pressure on the right spot and tensions were relieved. Great work!

Honestly, I cried when I left. It was the worst massage I've ever had. I got a pregnancy massage. It was more pressure points for prolonged time than it was what you think of when you think of a massage. I didn't even realize that's how it was going to go until the massage was half over. Then, I finally spoke up and said I like traditional massage better. The light was too bright in the room. My head/scalp got no play and my feet and hands got about a minute each.
I always get 90 minute massages and I always doze off on the table I'm so relaxed. That didn't happen here. Won't be back. Updated to add that the owner saw my review here and called to offer to make it up to me and apologized profusely. I missed the call (it was a voicemail message) never called back because my baby was a week old. So, I'll never know if they could have done better! But I did update to 2 stars for her attempting to correct the issue. It was just poor timing in my life.

After having my scheduled massage at another massage location cancelled last minute, I found myself desperate for a massage on a Sunday! Albany Massage had an opening so I took it. My appointment was with Travis and I made it very clear that I was looking for high pressure to work out a few of my knots. My experience was a waste of time. Travis, although I am sure is very skilled at yoga and spiritual sessions, was not my idea of a massage therapist.
I left with a hole in my pocket (they are quite pricey) and likely more knots in my back than I arrived with. If you are looking for a light caress, similar to a tickle, you have found the right place. BUT if are looking for deep pressure, spare yourself the disappointment and bypass their wide open schedule.
