Services
Swedish Massage
This classic technique uses long strokes and kneading movements to improve circulation, reduce muscle tension, and promote overall relaxation. Ideal for stress relief and general wellness maintenance, our therapists customize pressure levels to individual comfort preferences. Sessions can be enhanced with aromatherapy using natural essential oils for additional sensory benefits.
Deep Tissue Massage
Targeted therapy focusing on deeper muscle layers to alleviate chronic pain and improve mobility. Our practitioners use slower, more intense strokes to break up adhesions while incorporating Swedish techniques during longer sessions. Particularly effective for injury recovery and postural realignment, this treatment addresses specific problem areas through focused pressure application.
Pregnancy Massage
Specialized care for expectant mothers using supportive bolsters to ensure comfort throughout all trimesters. This treatment addresses common pregnancy discomforts including back pain, swelling, and joint stiffness while promoting circulation. Our therapists are trained in prenatal positioning techniques to safely accommodate changing body needs during pregnancy.
Craniosacral Therapy
Subtle technique focusing on cerebrospinal fluid rhythms to release restrictions in the central nervous system. Practitioners use light touch to detect and correct imbalances, particularly beneficial for headache relief and trauma recovery. This gentle approach helps restore natural healing mechanisms through careful manipulation of cranial and sacral areas.
Maya Abdominal Therapy
Traditional technique restoring organ positioning to improve circulation and energy flow in the abdominal region. Practitioners use specific manual adjustments to address digestive issues and reproductive health concerns. This therapy combines physical manipulation with holistic wellness principles to enhance overall organ function and systemic balance.

I've been 3 times now, twice with Madelyn and once with Holly. I can't recommend them enough! All three visits have been delightful. A massage can be an awkward or anxiety-producing event for some (like me). They walk you through an accurate "what to expect" on the website and offer multiple check ins during your visit. As most of the world moves on from COVID, they continue to have a mask mandate so you can be at ease in that regard as well. I brought my business here because of the collective approach, tranquil setting, and social justice values. I'm staying because of the high quality massage paired with that!

I have been getting great massages from therapist Tracy Heron Moore for several years now. The Massage Place is also a nature preserve. I enjoy seeing deer, squirrels and birds out back before my massage each month.

I've gone to them twice. Both times pregnant and they are amazing! I don't remember my first one, but Madelyn was the one who massaged me recently. It was so much needed and she hit every point! Even spots I thought was not needed! Boy was I glad I didn't decide to cancel because I almost did. Madelyn definitely helped me feel comfortable and didn't rush me at all. She even made sure the amount of pressure was what I wanted. I felt so much better afterwards!

Gabe is amazing! I started coming here soon after I began a stressful job and I was trying to do some self care. The strain from work really takes a toll on my posture and my neck starts cramping so bad my fingers go numb from it. Gabe works on fasciae relief and really breaks up the tension in my body. He does a great job. I walk out of there a completely different person and people definitely notice it on how I walk. Gabe can apply the pressure if you need it but unlike other massages he can really ease the knots and provide relief without peeling you off the ceiling if you know what I mean.
He really knows how stress takes a toll on your body and how to relieve it. I sing his praises at work and others have started seeing him too and keep seeing him because he's eased "crisis moments" as one colleague said. Can't recommend this place enough.

No matter which therapist I see at The Massage Place, the experience is always a good one. Comfortable waiting area, therapists have good listening skills and adjust as necessary, I've even fallen asleep once (Sorry!).
