Acupuncture is the art of inserting extremely thin needles at strategic points on your body, called "acupoints." Traditionally, acupuncture is seen as an energetic practice, and stimulating the acupoints promotes a smooth flow of energy (known as or qi ) throughout the body. From a modern perspective, acupuncture istimulates nerves, muscles, and connective tissue, increases blood flow, and triggers the release of natural painkillers. Since acupuncture works by activating the body's innate healing mechanisms, it can be used for many different conditions.

More recently she has completed training in Reiki and reflexology. In addition to her healing work, Annie is also an Interfaith minister.
