I have been to a number of massage therapists in the past 15 years, locally in the Thousand Oaks/Westlake Village areas, as well as the Fernando Valley, all of which were disappointing experiences. I like deep tissue massages, and the massage therapists that I have been to either don't like their occupation or don't that the capabilities to do what they claim they do.

What if an hour massage did more for you than just take the pressures and stresses of the day away? What if bodywork helped you recover from a strained hamstring in half the time? What if your sleep, digestion and mood all improved with massage and bodywork? What if these weren't just "what ifs"? Massage as a healing tool has been around for thousands of years in many cultures. Healers throughout time and throughout the world have instinctively and independently developed a wide range of therapeutic techniques using touch.

One of the most commonly taught and well-known massage techniques, Swedish massage is a vigorous system of treatment designed to energize the body by stimulating circulation. Five basic strokes, all flowing toward the heart, are used to manipulate the soft tissue of the body. The disrobed client is covered by a sheet, with only the area being worked on exposed. Therapists use a combination of stroking, kneading, percussive, and tapping movements, with the application of oil or lotion, to reduce friction on the skin.

My massages are designed to be 90 minutes in length. This allows time for both relaxation as well as enough time to address any therapeutic issues that may arise during the session. The 90 minutes is your massage time. Please let me know if you wish more time spent on a specific area instead of a full body session. I use a very fine quality lotion for the massage, and I will heat it to make it more comfortable for you. The amount of clothing to remove for the session depends upon the area being worked on and your personal level of comfort and feelings of security with the therapist.
