This is almost like a little speakeasy in a hotel. I love the Art Deco era vibes. Obviously the lighting is very red, it's a good date spot, or late night spot. Their espresso martinis are amazing, they have a lot of other classic cocktails. We got their carrot cake, but it had a strange cardamom spice to it which is why I get four stars instead of five.

I also had goat cheese frosting, but it had a weird flavor to it. I absolutely love goat cheese and funky flavors, but I couldn't eat that dessert. The rest of my group liked it, I just couldn't Eat that. Definitely a great cocktail spot

The best whiskey sour I have ever had. It was perfect. Nice and tart and not too sweet. The bartender was quick and accurate. The atmosphere is unique with neon lighting, the inlays in the walls and the jazz music.

Was looking for recommendations for thing to do in the area so we stopped by Oxford. The woman at the front desk, Savannah, was so incredibly friendly and helpful. Even through we weren't guests of the hotel she treated us like booked the presidential suite. She took some time to give us awesome recs. Will definitely be staying here next time. Amazing customer service and hospitality.

If I could give the Oxford Hotel staff 100 stars I would! My husband booked our stay on their website for my birthday. He planned brunch downtown, an overnight stay at the Oxford and Ocean Prime for dinner. Amazing! Once done with brunch I called the hotel to see if we may be able to check in soon or if we needed to kill some time. Well come to find out, my sweet hubby booked the wrong night and had us arriving Monday instead of Sunday. Matthew answered the phone when I called and got me to Megan to see what we could do. Megan is EXCEPTIONAL!

I hope Management reads this. Our room type wasn't available but she upgraded us for my birthday. To say we were surprised and excited was an understatement. What could have been a disaster, turned into the most AMAZING birthday of my life. This one will be hard to top! Kelly at the front desk is also amazing! Everyone was so sweet, so accommodating and made our entire experience one I'll never forget!

Thank you Megan for all you did to make our stay incredible and thank you Kelly for being so helpful, kind and bubbly every time we saw you! We appreciate you both! I will recommend and share my love for this hotel and staff forever to absolutely everyone!

Our server didn't know much about the menu (inquired about oysters). Drinks were super sweet but decor was really cute and I'm sure anyone would be fine if they ordered a simple liquor+soda water lime

Love this gem! One of the survivor bars that opened the day prohibition ended. Beautiful design! Lovely cocktails! Not a bar for millennials! Thank god! So you won't see some loser dressed in sweats wearing slides. Date night or when you wanna feel like you are on a movie set! Kudos to keeping it real! The jukebox!stunning.

Absolutely beautiful historic luxury hotel. The staff are so accommodating and friendly. Everywhere you turn in the hotel, there are little treasure that make your experience rememberable. It's located right across Union Station so getting there from the airport was easy. Just take the airport train to the last stop ($9 one way-cheaper than an uber!) Also it's in the heart of downtown so you can literally walk to hundreds of restaurants and shops.

Service was fast and drinks were good! I will say that the drinks were a bit pricey but I suppose that's normal for downtown Denver. Thank you!

A very nice, clean, classic, iconic hotel with poor pillow selection and very bright lights. I love how nice hotels provide several different pillow options. This one did not, as all four pillows were the same, and too big for my liking. I slept poorly and woke up with a sore neck. Also, I had to get up early to catch a flight, and all the lights in the room and especially the bathroom were extremely bright. It was a painful morning. The staff were very nice and friendly.

My fiance went here twice during our stay at Oxford hotel (which is also an amazing hotel to stay at). We tried a few different cocktails and there wasn't one we didn't like. We wish we had this bar back home but I guess we'll just have to come and visit Denver again (:

My fiance and I stayed at The Oxford when we were in town for the Eagles beating the Broncos. We went to The Cruise Room both nights and we were absolutely blown away by the ambiance, service, and the cocktails. The cocktails were made to perfection! We haven't stopped talking about the experience we had and wish we had a place like this back home!

Ross and I attended The Oxford Hotel's 130th Anniversary & what an evening! Denver's iconic hotel celebrated with a 4 course dinner put on by Urban Farmer & a whiskey pairing hosted by Laws Whiskey House. The Oxford's valet service was friendly and efficient. Upon arrival at The Oxford, we were enveloped in Art Deco Architecture with hard edges & richly embellished designs accentuated by gleaming metal chandeliers.

The combination of stark, geometric lines and shapes with grandiose ornamentation transported us back to a Roaring 20s design style - think Gatsby - bold & striking. The Oxford's aesthetic really set the mood for a splendid evening and The Sage Room (where the dinner was held) was dreamily decorated with moody candelabras, candles & fall foliage.

Our dinner was led by Laws Whiskey House Founder Al Laws. The dinner featured four decadent courses, each paired with a special Laws Whiskey House selection. The new Oxford Hotel 130th Anniversary Label Four Grain Bourbon was debuted at dinner. Our dinner was created by acclaimed Urban Farmer Executive Chef Ryan Rau. The Beef Tartare was made with pecorino foam & mushroom relish. YUM.

This was by far the best beef tartare I have ever had. The pieces of high-quality beef tenderloin were large and highly seasoned. The beef was vibrantly tasty and melted in our mouths. The prickly acidities of the mushroom relish paired beautifully with the first whiskey; it balanced the richness of the dish. The Warm Farmhouse Salad was made with baby bok choy & seared halloumi.

The warm baby bok choy was crunchy yet tender & packed with flavor. It had a swoon worthy golden sear that made this veggie a showstopper. The bok choy had a slightly bitter mineral flavor that evoked the spice flavor and aroma from the second whiskey. The 6 oz Prime Filet came with family-style sides including potato puree, seared greens & tableside mushrooms.

The Filet was paired with the Oxford Hotel's 130th Anniversary Label Four Grain Bourbon. WOW this filet. The filet was medium-rare perfection with buttery tenderness and mild beef flavor. The 130th Anniversary Label Four Grain Bourbon provided a nice sweet counterpoint to the deep savory-ness of the filet & mushrooms. The Bourbon was aged over seven years and this dynamic whiskey had notes of wildflower honey, dried cherries and cedar (celebrating two true Colorado originals).

The Butterscotch Sundae was butterscotch brownies served family style. The Butterscotch Brownies were chewy, brown sugary triangles that were dangerously delicious. They were the perfect combination of chewy and sweet with a delicately crisp top. I DEVOURED two of these without hesitation lol - more please! The fourth bourbon led with flavors of vanilla and caramel and paired well with the butterscotch brownies. WHAT. A. MEAL. & what superb dinner guests! The group that gathered for the 130th Anniversary at The Oxford was nothing short of amazing.

While it is a beautiful building in a fun part of town, what sets the Oxford Hotel apart is their staff. From the moment one arrives until departure to a person they are helpful, friendly and professional. Front desk, valet, bartenders, wait staff, etc. Every single staff member! i have traveled extensively for work and by far this was the most impressive staff as a whole. Thank you for making a wonderful weekend even more special

Take a step back in time a tip a few at the Cruise Room in the Oxford Hotel. Everything is just as it was designed in the 1930's. Great cocktails, service, and bites. If you like nostalgia and are up for an adventure, take a trip to the Cruise Room and enjoy.

This gem is one of the oldest cocktail bars in Denver to hit before or after your night on the town. Great feel, classic drinks and wonderful selection will have you time traveling.

Classy, old-fashioned, adorable hotel in every way. from the personable service, Tesla rides, and kindness to our dog Gerbert to the gramophone in the lobby to the delicious room service from Urban Farmer and soft, luxurious robes, everything about this place is top-notch. If I ever need to come to Denver again, I'll be coming back here. 5 stars!

We didn't stay at the Oxford Hotel but we did use their valet service daily from The Crawford Hotel & I feel strongly that these guys need a shout out. Every person we interacted with was so nice, quick, & personable. I think the ipad request system between the Crawford/Oxford is not the most well oiled and I fear that egotistical Crawford patrons would take out their anger at having to walk an extra couple of feet to the Oxford to get their car instead of having it delivered in front of the Crawford on the valet guys.

They are literally making the best out of a difficult situation of acting as valet for 2 hotels at once. We interacted with them the most of all the hotel employees & they were by far the most memorable & best staff we interacted with.

I liked the Oxford a lot. I probably need to apologize for the late night laugh fest in our room, the perpetual video reenactment of The Shining in the hallway outside our room and our tipsy strolls around the hotel in our robes but my sister and I hadn't seen each other in awhile and I think we let loose a bit here. Zero complaints were reported to us, so perhaps we were ok.

We had a great stay, and I really loved the evening Bourbon tastings since I'm a big fan of Bourbon. The Oxford was walking distance to so many places which made it great during our stay. We stayed at the Art hotel last time we were in town but wanted to try something new, in a different area this time. I'd definitely recommend staying here if a boutique historical hotel is up your alley. Great customer service.

Steven- head of reservations- just made my day! One of my besties has been having a tough time lately, so made plans to fly she and her husband to Denver next weekend. When the rate we saw online earlier didn't appear any more, she called the hotel instead, and spoke to Steven. He had her laughing, giddy with excitement and the happiest I've seen her in a while. Thank you, Steven! I can't wait to see pictures and hear about all the fun! Totally know next time I'm in the area, this is also the only place I will book!

Hi, let's start with the good! The Oxford was pretty & refined, with a cozy lobby. My room was immaculate and the bed super luxurious. I loved just handing my car over to the valet and not having to deal with it. Location by Union Station very convenient, and there's a Whole Foods less than 5-min walk if you need provisions. They also offer free transport to places nearby.

The woman running the 5:30pm bourbon tasting was fun and became more animated as a steady stream of guests queued up to taste. She definitely embodied the friendly, up-for-anything attitude that I love about Colorado. The front desk person, not so much! My only beef about the hotel was I was unable to sleep because my room #301 was next to something mechanical that sounded like a washing machine on its spin cycle.

By the time I noticed it I was snuggled in my bed and it was too late to request another room. That was my bad, so I laid awake listening to headphones & then was woken up again by the sound early morning. So not relaxing! I did mention the sound to two different people, including front desk lady, who "thanked my for my feedback" in a vaguely hostile way that made it clear she cared not at all.

How hard would it have been to offer a drink or dessert on the house, or even a discount on future visit. That would have made everything right! But I was so put off by the attitude that I won't be coming back. Such a shame!

We live in Denver but needed a staycation night out. The Oxford was the perfect solution to our quarantine fatigue. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas, and the hotel staff were all so pleasant, friendly and accommodating. They were following all protocols for COVID and the guests were all respectful of protocols as well. Our room was so beautiful, bed and linens were comfy and cozy and the bathrobes were delightful. We ordered room service from the Urban Farmer downstairs and it was delicious. We decided to make this an annual event! Thank you Oxford!

I loved staying at the oxford hotel over Labor Day weekend! The employees treated us like family. Matthew was kind and very helpful/patient with us. Dave & Danny always greeted us with a smile on their faces & water bottles in hand upon on arrival every night. My favorite hotel in Denver. 12/10! Thank you for your hospitality!

The last few nights in Denver we stayed at the Oxford Hotel in Lo Do (Lower Downtown neighborhood). Built in 1891, the oldest head on bed was renovated several years ago, and its 80 rooms are old style Victorian. Simple, but with sufficient comfort in public and private areas at a reasonable rate, that make the experience very satisfying. Our room on the fourth floor faced north where Coors Field could be seen a few blocks away.

Union Station, another beautiful edifice was only a block from the front door on 17th Street. Restaurants and bars are everywhere in the hood, and the hotel itself is home to a great tavern (once a speakeasy), and Urban Farmer, an awesome steakhouse that begs for attention and belies the need to ever leave the house to eat or entertain. Our deal included a solid breakfast and spa services.

We took advantage of both and found the servers and skilled staff to be nearly perfect. Just put the extras on your bill, but tip those who assist you well. Covid has killed many vacations and those who work the industries associated with fun and relaxation. So, special prices were available for the asking. We saw it as our patriotic duty to share generously with the folks serving us. Denver is a place I have visited many times.

It is a cool town with enough culture and history to keep me energized for as long as I am there. Oxford Hotel is a wonderful place to call home given its old west verve and charm.

This is a great hotel with perfect beds and the amenities are the best part. We got driven around by Riley and Jamel with a Tesla. They have a great personality which shapes your day. I also loved brandy hour, and on Friday they have a blues player. We loved it.

Never paid this much for a hotel this bad. The WiFi service is obnoxious, and requires personal information and an email validation before it will work. A cheap trick to get your email on a list and I've paid for it since with a ton of spam from them. Worst, however, the plumbing was messed up in our room and my 10 year old son got scalded in the shower.

I thought he didn't know how to operate it, but when I tried I confirmed the water would spontaneously get scalding and I was be unable to get it cold no matter where I set it. It was like the cold water pressure went to zero. After reporting this their solution was to comp me the BS "amenities" charge they tack on to the room. What amenities?!?

Never going to return. Wished I'd stayed at the much nicer hotel in the train station. Just as historic, and friends from Colorado tell me its better. This was a disappointing tourist trap.

I was very fortunate to stay at the Oxford Hotel for work. Usually I'm resistant to boutique hotels and prefer major chains, but the Oxford surpassed my expectations. As soon as you walk in, the lobby has old school charm, and the rooms have actual keys (not key cards). The stay included access to the Oxford Club for fitness, and Urban Farmer for breakfast.

This was brilliant, as the Oxford Club was the best "hotel gym" I've exerperienced with extensive equipment options, including Peloton bikes and TRX. At Urban Farmer, you have to be careful as not all the breakfast menu items are included as complimentary options. Note, the stay does include an automatic daily amenities fee which I assume covers these services.

The staff at the hotel, gym and restaurant were all very courteous. My only complaint was the wifi, where I was constantly disconnected and had to verify my Facebook account, of all things! They should follow other hotels and have a simple login via name and room number.

The oldest hotel in Denver! This place is beautiful. Request a room on the top floor for better views and less noise. Stop by the cruise room for a fancy cocktail and snacks! Pros: friendly staff, complimentary bourbon tasting in the evening, breakfast at the Urban Farmer, soft robes, nice shower Cons: it was too hot in the room and the windows don't open except for about 2in., car service (included in the $30 service fee) stays pretty busy so you'll have to wait a little if you want to utilize this perk Stayed here twice and would return. It's in a great location, walking distance to a lot of places and super close to the train.

In a nutshell: a memorable stay in a beautiful historic building I randomly picked this place for its proximity to Coors Field, which is walking distance. I was pleasantly surprised upon driving up. Valet whisked our car away and shuttled our bags to our room. The building itself is quite extraordinary, and stunningly beautiful. You feel as if you stepped back in time and should be wearing a fedora and suit.

Every detail of the hotel was just spot on. The lobby is stunning! The staff was excellent, and excelled at making sure we were taken care of. The queen bed was perfectly perfect. The bathroom was my favorite part; the black and white one inch tiles, and the pedestal sink and shower were such a delight. I pretty much LOVED staying here. The ambiance, location to downtown, history, decor, and staff were what made my experience memorable. Felt like a jazz era movie star. I would definitely return and would definitely recommend to friends.

Pros: Centrally located in DT Denver with lots of great restaurants nearby. Complimentary transportation anywhere within 2 miles of hotel. The hotel is dated but with much character, personally I think it's a plus. Cons: The hotel is an older hotel so there will be patrons who do not appreciate the lack of modern hotel amenities or look, however, this "con" is really a positive as it gives the hotel its vibe.

Customer Service and cleanliness are the deciding factors in my book in regards to return visits to any hotel location. Every single staff member I met was pleasant and helpful. I was upgraded upon arrival, not certain if this was due to my co. holding a seminar, however, it was a great surprise nonetheless. I recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the DT Denver area. Snooze for breakfast and Stoic & Genuine are other great spots located within a 1 Min walk of hotel.

Hubby & I stayed here in a king room for a long weekend & had a ok time. We loved the big soaking bath tub & the giant flat screen tv, the Art Deco furniture was cool & the bed linens were nice. However, the king bed we had, had a giant bear hole in it. The mattress was shot. Def needed to be throw in the trash. What I liked about this hotel, the lobby was all decorated up for Christmas & was totally Gorg.

The Cruise room was outstanding. We loved the Art Deco Bar in the lobby & the fireplace. The valet parking was also top notch. What I didn't like about this Hotel is that there was no mini bar in the room & no frig. There was one crappy half bottle of vino that I wouldn't drink if I was homeless & one super expensive tiny bottle of local bourbon.

One tiny super cheap bottle & worthless & one tiny super expensive bottle & worthless, to us anyway. There was plenty of room in our room for a mini bar/mini frig. To add to that disappointment, the room service menu was a joke, overpriced crap & not enough options. The coffee pods were decent but there was no milk, cream or creamer or anything. Hubby had to call down to get some & by the time we got the creamer we were leaving.

Before leaving, I called downstairs & let them know the bed was bad & that they should replace it b4 someone else stays in the room. I told the front desk that if they change the mattress out we would return & give them another try that we did enjoy the rest of the hotel. The lady on the phone was nice enough & told me she would make a note of it.
