Ten Thousand Waves is an exceptional mountain spa resort near Santa Fe, New Mexico that feels like a Japanese onsen. We're primarily a huge, pretty day spa, but for those who plan ahead, we are the finest destination spa they've ever experienced. Just a short stroll through the trees from the baths and treatment areas are thirteen hotel suites.

From Our Website

Small plates meant for sharing, creatively prepared locally-sourced meat and produce with an emphasis on seasonality, all accompanied by unique libations. Don't expect the usual. There is no nigiri sushi. No soggy tempura. Definitely none of the sickly-sweet, hot sake that has given sake such a bad rap. We are extremely selective about our purveyors and only order enough seafood and organic produce to get us through the day. We have the best selection of artisanal microbrew cold sake found anywhere between the coasts, green teas from shizuoka, locally roasted coffee drinks, ten different japanese craft beers, and housemade spritzers.

Ten Thousand Waves is committed to keeping everyone safe- guests and staff alike--by going beyond the latest guidelines given to us by our Governor and the CDC. There is presently a directive from the Governor that visitors from outside New Mexico must quarantine for 14 days. In addition to the emphasis we have always devoted to cleanliness, we now spend additional time sanitizing all public and private areas. We are grateful to the state of New Mexico and Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham for providing clear and effective guidelines so that we can soak and spa safely.

For the complete experience, we suggest combining several treatments. Those who come for an hour leave relaxed and happy, but those who stay longer are often transformed.

Our beautiful outdoor hot tubs and the amazing izanami restaurant are minutes from downtown in a piņon forest. We have the closest lodging to the high mountains above Santa Fe. Now more than ever we are committed to providing a safe environment to escape the stresses of life in the pandemic. While we are temporarily unable to offer communal bathing, we are pleased to present fully private experiences as you soak in our hot tubs. For your safety and ours, all are required to wear masks on property, with the exception of in your private bath area or lodging room.

Both therapist and guest are required to wear a mask during the treatments--we supply comfortable masking for the face-down part of the massage.
