Whether your looking for a simple bang trim, or the works, Sizzors's offers a large array of specialty design sets, color techniques and perm and relaxer services. All Hair Services (excluding perms and color) include consultation, shampoo, precision haircut and finish style. Arrive at the salon with your curls conditioned, detangled, dried, and un-styled (no twist-outs, braids, curling or flat irons or any other manipulation). Let your hair hang loosely - accessories like ponytail holders can disrupt your curl pattern.
All of our facials include a foot massage and an arm massage using warm stones to rejuvenate tired muscles and sooth you into a relaxed state. The use of Essential Oils can enhance any facial treatment and can be used for scent or for treatment. After the skin assessment then an oil selection can be made and the facial products custom blended oils.
A massage is like a fresh start for your body and mind. It is a very effective way of promoting both physical and emotional well being. A massage enhances the function of joints and muscles, improves circulation, general tone and relieves mental and physical fatigue. A massage also stimulates the skin and produces a deep sense of calm.
Enjoy a spa body wrap or one of our body wrap treatments for skin that radiates with health and is soft to the touch. Carefully balanced to both deeply cleanse and replenish, our body wrap treatments lift the veil of dullness and dryness to restore hydrated silkiness to skin. I'm new to town and desperately needed a color correction in my hair. I visited a salon a week prior and ended up going from bright blonde to ash brown all over. I panicked and tried to bleach my own hair a few days after it was colored brown. I was left with hot roots, orange and yellow hair. Embarrassed, I began desperately calling around town looking for help.
In comes Liz to the rescue! Liz was kind enough to allow me to send photos of my current hair to her, along with 'inspiration' photos for what I was looking for. She also reassured me that no matter what, it was going to be OK! In less than 24 hours, I was in her chair and on my way back to normalcy. In fact, my hair looks better now than it ever has! Liz is truly an expert and professional.
At no time did I feel judged for needing a color correction. Liz is beyond amazing and really helped to restore my confidence. If you need a fabulous haircut, color or even a color correction, call Liz! Thank you so much.

I am so happy with the haircut I got a few days ago. I believe it was the owner who cut it. I couldn't believe how great the cut was considering how fast she did it. It was the fastest haircut I've ever had. She said she has been cutting hair for a very long time. I love the building and interior vibe/decor too. Would definitely recommend!

In town with my husband for business. Had free time and needed a haircut and pedicure. Booked online with Beckie and absolutely loved her and the people working there. Very friendly and clean. Beckie gave me a whole new look. I haven't been this pleased with a haircut and style in quite some time. If I didn't live so far away, I would definitely be a repeat customer!

Wow! I had just left another salon after having a color and cut. I was so unhappy I popped in Sizzors without an appointment hoping (praying?) someone could fix the disaster. Liz took me immediately, listened to me, gave me a perfect cut, and didn't pressure me to buy a bunch of products. She won me over. I'm super picky, but felt she was certainly qualified to keep my business. Thank you.

I just got my first haircut at Sizzors, and it's the best haircut I've gotten in a decade. Beckie, the owner, did it. I brought in a picture of what I wanted, and she did it perfectly -- with a few suggested tweaks that improved the look. She also made helpful suggestions about hair care and styling and provided a special hair treatment for a very reasonable price. I'll definitely be going back! It was a great experience, and Beckie was super warm and welcoming.

The people are nice, but the service is ridiculous. They say they are swamped and can get me in no later than 3:00, but it's almost 3:30 and I am still waiting, after speeding here from work to not be late for them "squeezing me in" -- it is like this everyone I am here, and I have no idea why I keep coming back. Maybe I need to find a new place to get my eyebrows waved!

Yet again another issue with this company and/or business owner. I received an email saying the review was being requested to be removed THREE years after I wrote it. Clearly some issues going on here if they are wasting time on something such as removing an old review. I am in no way frustrated with Yelp, or the review process, as in general I find Yelp to be right on target with the service I receive in reference to the number of "stars" a business has on this site.
I am frustrated that a business such as this one would do what they initially did, read above review, respond the unprofessional way they did both on here and to my personal email, and then try to remove my review three years after the fact. I feel consumers have the right to know the service experience I received as this is literally the purpose of Yelp.
Perhaps if Sizzors had reached out to me directly and professionally I would have been willing to remove or edit the review. Instead they further frustrated this consumer and cause me to write an updated review. Hopefully Sizzors can someday realize that we live in an age where technology causes word of mouth to go above and beyond where it could ever have previously. Hopefully this will be the last time I feel it necessary to update a review for this company! I implore Sizzors to review their behavior as it appears to the public.

I have been using all of the service at Sizzors for over 25 years and have never had a bad experience. Kirby's facials are the best I have ever had and I look forward to visiting Lawrence so I can have one. Beckie knows my hair and what type of easy to care for styles that I like. She gives excellent instructions so that I can style my hair like she does. I ppreciate the welcoming and professional atmosphere that is Sizzors. Thank you Ladies!

Sizzors is a wonderful salon with an amazing staff! I have been going there for 8 years and have never had a bad experience. I've had a wide variety of services done, including haircuts, color, eyebrow wax, massages, manicures, and pedicures.they were all fabulous! I like it so much that I travel from Kansas City every time I need a haircut or any service done! I've recommended this salon to several friends and family members and they have all loved their experience as well!

I ended up paying an extra $30 for my service because they didn't accept my Groupon from the app. Groupon gave me a refund when they couldn't get a hold of anyone at Sizzors. The service was ok, if somewhat down-market (smashing earphones on my head when I sat down, using towels for a wrap that had pedicure refuse on them), but I won't be back because of they manage their business in a way that is misleading and according to Groupon, violated the merchant agreement they signed with them.

In July 2011 my sister was married in Lawrence, KS. While she was having her hair done by a friend who is a pro stylist, our mom, grandma, aunt and I needed to find a place to have our hair done. About a month prior to the wedding I started making phone calls to various Lawrence area salons. The salon that I was initially referred to by my sister's in-laws was already booked for another wedding.
I checked the yelp reviews for several other local salons and made a list of salons to call. Sizzors was the first salon that I could actually get through to. One salon's phone just rang and rang and a couple more were closed. I explained what we wanted to have done to the girl who answered the phone. She was very nice and confirmed that they would be able to accommodate us.
She promptly sent an email confirming our appointments. Two days prior to the appointment I received an email appointment reminder which indicated that Cassie would be taking care of us. Upon arrival at the salon we were greeted by the woman manning the front desk (I can't remember her name for the life of me!) and offered beverages. The salon was decorated nicely and spotlessly clean.
They had lots of fun jewelry and trinkets for sale that we could browse through. Cassie did a wonderful job on our hair! She was extremely professional, and was very lively and animated, making for a fun experience for us all. She was able to give us all exactly what we wanted, and the hairstyles lasted all night. We were the only clients in the salon, so we were able to sit by Cassie's workstation as she did all of our hair.
The woman working the front desk was also very attentive, chatting with us and making sure we all had drinks and whatever else we needed. Oh, and did I mention our drinks were served in nice glass goblets? So many times you go to a salon and drinks are served in Styrofoam or paper cups. What a nice touch! If I am ever in Lawrence again and in need of hair services I will definitely go back to Sizzors!

Kirby was great. Gave me great suggestions on helping my hair grow out and general care for fine hair. However I did get the feather extensions and one feather broke, and then the whole extension slid out 2 days later. I'd go back for hair care, but $40 for a feather extension that came out wasn't worth it.
