Personal Fitness Training To ensure that our clients work only with highly skilled and knowledgeable professionals (trainers, massage therapists and yoga instructors), who understand how to customize exercise and/or massage to meet the needs of each individual client. To provide a workout environment that is private, uncrowded and professional, yet friendly and non-intimidating.

Although I may not be as slim as I once was, my overall fitness is probably better than its ever been in my life. I have continued to work with PFTL for almost ten years, not only did I not lose muscle tone from my radiation therapy, I feel physically fit for the first time since I was 40.

Prior to the first training session, all new clients undergo a comprehensive evaluation of their present physical condition. Specific needs and issues are identified that are later incorporated into their training program. Any muscular imbalances or misalignments can then be addressed with corrective exercises as an integral part of the training process.

The makeup of the body in terms of lean mass (muscle, bone, vital tissue and organs) and fat mass. Establishing and maintaining neutral alignment of the spine and extremities through core control and muscle balance.

This place is tremendous. They have highly-skilled trainers and a well-appointed gym, as well as massage therapy and physical therapy on-site.

Personal Fitness Training is the place to go when looking for a solid workout program. Debora and her trainers provide fitness assessments and exercise programs that can be performed either at the studio or home. One thing I find outstanding is that personal fitness training finds the goals of the person being trained and matches the right trainer to meet their goals. As needs change, I see the trainers frequently evolve an individual program and hit new peaks.

I have been training at PFTL with Bruno Acanfora for about a year now. I can't say enough great things about him. I suspect that there is a pretty wide range of quality in personal training in the world, but Bruno is fantastic. First of all, Bruno is prompt and efficient. He reminds me of sessions the night before and has never missed one or been late. (Can't say the same for me.) As far as the training itself, he is super-knowledgeable and creates great routines tailored to my needs and wishes. I've made great strides with him, only working out every 2 weeks. Bruno is a class guy on a personal level, always friendly to chat with if you want to but very much focused on the workout.

He always has the next exercise set up as I complete the current one, which allows me to get more done, and he always e-mails me the routines after each session so I can work out on my own. (Though on my own never seems to be as good as my Bruno workouts.) Finally: you have to have a trainer whose name is Bruno! I recommend Bruno without reservation.

The PFTL facility is everything one needs. Fully equipped, clean, in good repair. It's not super-busy, and if you are training at the facility, you have access on your own any time for a nominal fee. Debora will do an initial consultation and evaluation and help you get set up with the right trainer (male or female, up to you). Parking is no problem, and the facility is directly across the street from the Purple Line terminal.

There are a lot of choices in personal training, but Debora runs a really nice outfit. One final note: I would advise that if you are looking more for socializing than for working out, you should join a big club. This would not be the place for you.
