Services
Though the first known modern Cedar Enzyme Bath was established in the 1940s in Hokkaido, Japan, its history dates back centuries. This unique healing experience grows out of ancient Japanese traditions wherein fruits, vegetables, herbs, mushrooms, seaweed, and other life forms were harvested at their prime and processed into salves and tonics for healing wounds and other ailments.
Located in scenic Sonoma County, Osmosis is well known for our unique Cedar Enzyme Bath, our rejuvenating massages, organic facials, and our beautiful Zen-inspired meditation gardens. Since day one, our expert staff has offered a holistic experience of nurturing, nourishing, and centering. We envision Osmosis as a sanctuary: a place to find relief from the emotional stress and physical pain of everyday life, and a place to prepare yourself for new beginnings.
Osmosis first opened its doors in 1985, but our history reaches back even farther, to the birth of the modern environmental movement. As a student at the recently-opened UC Santa Cruz in the late 1960s, Osmosis founder Michael Stusser found himself at the nexus of emerging efforts to promote ecological sustainability and explore new paths to spirituality. He quickly found a home in the early organic gardening community, and helped establish two horticultural training centers still in operation today.
Osmosis was created with the intention to serve as a catalyst for community, vitality, and awakening. Our mission encourages connection, earth-friendly lifestyle, and optimal health. Shared vision, right livelihood, and meaningful work are the cornerstones of our community-building efforts. To that end, we strive to cultivate relationships among our team, in our local setting, and by connecting visitors and leaders in the fields of health, sustainability, and spirituality around the world. We also support, sponsor, and participate in various local initiatives and events around the community that align with our values.

The restaurant was nice and the staff friendly. But most of the dishes were too salty for me with unbalanced ones. (lacking of acidity for example in one of the fish dish I had.) If they work on their seasoning it could be a great menu.

The place was really kind to accommodate me and my partner with a vegan version of their set menu and it was absolutely delicious from start to finish. Everything was very tasteful and flavoursome. Staff was really kind and helpful. Really good experience. Thank you!

If i were to choose between food and the service i would go for the service. They have a great service but the food can be improved. The presentation is nice but the taste is not that good. Of all the food that l ate they was no 1 plate that l was like wow. They were all "normal" to me, but they're service was excellent

Great place with upmarket food - especially go for the Tasting Menu. The restaurant only has 8 tables so reservation also online is recommended. We had 7 courses and the different dishes were really great. Great flavors and very small portions - so expect a gourmet happening and not getting full :) The service team is not really speaking English but the Chefs actually took over and it was fun to talk with them about the dishes and the accompanying wine selection was stunning. not usual wines with great background stories.

Only one star deduction as the pigeon meat was quite tough and lost the sparkle, and the Menu was very heavy meat centric with a lot of foie gras. but hey, you are in Spain :)

Local - pleasant - we had a small room to ourselves - which suited us fine. Service : not to standard for this level of experience. Wine waiter: attentive and helpful. We had the 5 course tasting menu without the full wine selection. Just 2 glasses of a very good Montsant claret. Taster - mini black botifarra on toast ( no much taste) with a side mini cream which was good with a smooth lingering after taste 1st course Poached egg with prawn and brisket - good 2nd course Fish (serviola) and sauce - good 3rd course Risoto of local muchrooms.

Rice just right- rich taste not overpowering. 4th course Meatball of marinated beef. Neither us liked the sharp taste or texture of this dish. The chef asked if we wanted something else for this course. We declined. Dessert Sorbet - ok. Coffee - regular Bread - correct.

I have been in other restaurants where the food tasted better. We did a maridaje lunch and the wines were very strong with a whiskey taste. We didn't mind much about the wines as we didn't choose them, however the food disappointed us. Not the best taste. And we had a table in the main corridor, where many people were passing to take away food.

Great experience! This restaurant is quietly overshadowing some Michelin starred restaurants in the city. To me it is a hidden gem. The service was carried out like a breeze, i've never felt so relaxed being served at a somewhat high-end restaurant. The owner of the restaurant talked us through the service and made us feel at home, as my arm was in a sling he even cut the food for me (pic. 3) needless to say the food was also impeccable.
