Thai Massage involves stretching, deep tissue manipulation and work with lines of energy known as Sen lines. It is usually performed on the floor with the client wearing comfortable clothes that allow for movement. The client may be positioned in a variety of yoga-like positions, but deep static and rhythmic pressure form the core of the massage.
To schedule at the New Seattle Massage location, please choose U.District from the options on next page. All insurance massage appointments must be made through our receptionist to ensure proper eligibility and processing of your benefits.
Your practitioner will discuss with you any particular areas or problems you would like to have worked on in your massage. Some simple screening questions about your health will be asked to help us give you a safe and comfortable massage. If you have old or current > injuries, or any conditions your practitioner should be careful with (or perhaps not massage at all), be sure to let your practitioner know.
As a new patient at New Seattle Massage, we are required to have certain forms on file before your first massage. There are two ways you can address this, either download the forms available here and fill them out before you arrive, bringing them with you to your first appointment, or you may do so in our waiting area before your first appointment. If you choose to fill them out onsite in person, please allow 10 to 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to attend to this.

Be wary, some employees are friendly and courteous while others have a stern, stand off attitude. Almost as if you're inconveniencing them with your presence. Standard fare for Seattle residents.

I went to Crystal Mountain snowboarding and needed a deep tissue Massage. Called New Massage specifically asked for a good deep tissue person. I met with a someone named "Bobbi". I asked her specifically to work on my back and quads and focus on deep elbow work before we started. She replied: "yeah we'll go around and work on some stuff and see where it goes". 30 minutes into the massage she had yet to use her elbow.

She was just running her fingers back and forth and doing a kind of pinch on my musles. Sh put so much oil on my body it was actually slopping around and making noises. She would get lotion from he bottle literally like every 20-30 seconds. I asked her to use her elbow, she acknowledged, and would press in really deep without in an unnatural way. Then she was rude when she asked me to flip over on my back halfway through massage - she just said one word "FLIP".

Near the end I asked how much time we had left as we hadn't gotten to my quads. She replied "NONE" then she walked out of the room. This was wrong on so many levels. Hope I save you the trouble, time, and money.
