Karla gave me two massages when I was 8 and 9 months pregnant, respectively. Those two massages were lifesavers at that point! Karla is extremely professional and has a very calm and soothing presence. During one massage, she told me about her training (I asked) and it was extensive. This is a woman who has continually sought out opportunities to learn new massage methods and techniques. She has a real talent to relating to your body and and its aches - and then soothing them all. I highly recommend her as a masseuse.

Flexible, highly skilled
I went to Karla after a car accident to address my physical pain. She did an AMAZING job. She evaluated me before and during every appointment, took progress notes, explained what was happening with my body, and worked with me during my ups and downs. I felt very comfortable, because she is a very caring and calming person. She is also very educated and knows what she is doing for both medical and non-medical massages. She also gave great tips for after the massage, so that the effects of the treatments lasted for days longer than they would have otherwise. She was always available by phone or email and was willing to adjust appointment times when I had a last minute issue at work... VERY rare in my experience. I recommend Karla to everyone who is in search of a massage for any reason.

I have been to several massage therapists in the past. Some have helped me some have not. Karla brings a whole new experience to me. She not only is professional but she has helped me more than anyone in the past has ever been able to. She is always offering new suggestions to help relieve pain in ways I would never think of. She then has the products available to allow those suggestions be put into place without having to go elsewhere.

I always enjoy my time with Karla as she is soft spoken and calming, very obviously cares about her clients and wants to truly help them. I have referred friends to her and they have also been very happy with her services. My husband, who is a tough one to please with massage spoke highly about his experience with Karla. I would definately recommend her to anyone looking for a great massage therapist in the Albuquerque area.

I can attest, at least for me, I was at ease just a few moments after Karla opened the door to her office. If you have spent large amounts of time trying to find healthcare providers you know how frustrating it can be when you don't click with someone right away. She is a wonderful massage therapist, and a very nice person to have in your life. I truly appreciate how much Karla cares about her clients and the energy she puts into every appointment. Great communication, both in the office and outside (with reminder/follow-up emails), make me feel like I am getting 110%. Good location, good parking, quality facility.

Karla asked me to call and let her know how I felt after the first massage last night. I have the most uncanny feeling of being "connected" somehow, like all my body parts are working together as a whole. I can move more freely without that scared feeling of something pulling or being yanked out of place. Weird and wonderful.

The central problem of my left hip and leg is still present but feels a small bit relieved. I am very pleased with the treatment and loved meeting Karla. What a wonderful, warm woman. I would like to begin seeing her a couple times a week to see if these treatments can heal the hip problem.

Extraordinary Healer!
A accident and resulting spinal injury led me to Karla. Having only had one other massage in my life, I really didn't know what to expect but was willing to try anything to help relieve my extreme pain and stiffness. Karla took a thorough history of my injury and prior treaments, and of any other conditions that might be contributing - and then she set to work. With her knowledge and experience, she honed right in on the tender areas; with weekly therapy I have gone from being in constant pain and stiffness to a widened range of motion and lesser pain--in 8 weeks! My physician warned me that my symptoms would last up to a year, but with Karla's help I am certain that timeframe will be greatly shortened. Thanks Karla!" --

Evening and weekend appointments, insurance billing
I began to see Karla after being involved in a rear-end collision. From the very beginning she was professional, friendly and compassionate. She was able to find where I was having pain without telling her and after a few weeks of treatment I was good as new. Since the accident I have been told numerous accounts of people being involved in similar situations who suffered with back and neck pain for months or even years afterward. Thanks to Karla, I am not one of those people. Not having to deal with the burden of paying out of pocket and chasing after the car insurance company for reimbursement was also a huge help. I would most definitely go back for any future massage needs and recommend her to my family and friends. Thanks Karla, for a wonderful healing experience.

My experience with Karla was excellent. Karla made me feel comfortable getting a massage. Walking into her office you see many certifications on the wall that make you feel like you are in the right spot for great treatment. After 32 weeks of pregnancy, my lack of back pain, neck pain – any pain at all! – is a testament not just to prenatal massage, but to Karla! Beginning in the first trimester and into the second, I was fortunate to have found Karla and met with her every two weeks. Now that I’m in the third trimester, we’ve stepped it up to every week, and it is an occasion I look forward to for six days! Karla’s experience with women, women who are pregnant, and women with reproductive issues (as both a masseuse and a past doula) is completely invaluable. She is extremely well read and has years of experience to share with her clients and is always willing to share her suggestions. At a recent appointment, she involved my husband and taught him several techniques to help me through my labor.

Karla has given me the tools and the confidence to face the weeks up to delivery pain-free and looking forward to this next stage in our lives. So many pregnant women I talk to are managing aches and physical stress along with the natural anxiety that comes with the unknown. I KNOW that Karla has changed my experience carrying this child, and I BELIEVE that both my baby and I are having a healthier, happier pregnancy for knowing her and being lucky enough to be her clients.

I was very sad when Karla told me she was moving to NM. I would highly recommend her to anyone (and have!) She helped me out with a pre-op massage just before I had major surgery and I feel it not only helped me deal with the anxiety of my impending operation, but made healing a little more comfortable by helping me relax my muscles enough to handle the long recovery post-op. I have suffered from chronic, debilitating migraines for the last 8 years. Sometimes the migraines get so bad I can't do anything but lie in a dark, quiet room waiting trying to ride out the pain. When I first met Karla I was impressed by the knowledge she had not just in general about massage but specifically how to treat migraines like mine. When I had my first massage from her I had migraines for 2 WEEKS and none of the pain killers I had taken had given me any pain relief (including a trip to urgent care for injections of pain killers).

The morning after my first massage with Karla I woke up totally pain free! I couldn't believe it! I braced myself for the fact that this may have been a one time (very lucky!) thing, but over the last year and a half I've been getting massages from Karla she has consistently provided me pain relief from migraines when nothing else will. I feel so lucky to have "found" her!! While very experienced and professional she is also a wonderfully warm, friendly, and caring woman who makes each massage an incredibly healing and relaxing experience. I highly recommend her!
