338-4628 is both my business phone and my personal cell phone. You may call this phone at reasonable times with your message and to hear my schedule of immediate openings. Sometimes I can pick up the phone, and I check my messages often. Although I do have fb Messenger and a facebook business page, phone and text are more dependable ways to reach me.
60 minutes is the most common length for massage. This is enough time for a relaxing full-body massage or for a more in-depth treatment of a particular area such as back, neck and shoulders. For a full-body massage with additional attention to particular problems, schedule 90 minutes. Gift certificates make wonderfully relaxing and thoughtful gifts.
I am available for massage instruction for individuals who want to share massage with family or friends. We can do this in a series of classes, or during private massage appointments (not intended as training to become a licensed massage therapist). One way to learn massage is to bring a willing friend or family member to your regular massage appointment to observe and receive massage instruction that could be helpful to your needs. I am happy to assist in this way. While it's difficult to absorb much instruction in one short hour, it might be all you need to get started.
I believe massage should not be painful, and with your feedback I adjust my pressure to your comfort level. Massaging problem areas can "hurt so good" and I believe that when done with care and accuracy, massage does not require crippling pressure to feel deep and effective. I work with my hands (no elbows or knobbers) and a few hot smooth stones which impart heat directly to trouble spots.
In the United States today, massage is more mainstream than ever before. Still, some people hesitate to try massage. Although drawn by its reputation to heal, soothe and relax, newcomers often don't know what to expect. Here I address the fear that one is expected to be naked in front of the massage therapist.

I have been going to Maria Gail for 9 years now. During such stressful times, Maria has taken the extra steps to ensure her clients will feel calm and relaxed in a safe environment! Linens are always fresh, and the environment always peaceful. Throughout the massage there will be cross ventilation with fresh air, and a filter and air purifier will be used as well. Currently, in November, Maria so kindly has a an oil warmer, bed warmer, and even a warming rack for your clothes!

As a nurse it makes me so happy to know I can go to a place for self-health that is not only following guidelines, but does it in a way that you can feel the stress come off your shoulders.
