Mr. K knows his subject. I could only take the class on Saturdays. Working a full-time job and juggling this class was some what challenging. The staff were very helpful and encouraging. I passed the state exam last year. I would reccomend this school to anyone who puts the effort in to study.

I would like to start this review by Thanking all the staff in this place, thank you Else you were the first one to help me and through the process Mr. K thank you so much for teaching everything you know, you are a really wise man, and I learn so much from you. Thank you Lydia for all your help with the process of my license. I'm finally done with everything and now just waiting to transfer to the Laboratory Department.

I highly recommend this school, it's just perfect, the flexibility, the different programs they have, they always make sure everything is working out for you, and if you get stuck in the process they make sure to get you to the end of everything. I'm forever grateful.

My friends are the reason why I came to LA Vocational Institute to take the course of phlebotomy because that is what I wanted to do all of my friends that have taken and graduated from the course are very happy and now they are even working in the health care facility. I recommend anyone who is willing to get a career in the health care to attend LAVi.

The staff is great and very helpful. My instructor is very knowledgeable and he is very helpful with any questions or help I need. So by saying all of this I am very happy with my decision that I made and listened to my friends recommendation about attending LAVi. After my accomplishment of my phlebotomy I will definitely take a few other course. Thank you LAVi

I went to the school and loved it. The staff goes out of there way to help you to pass and work with payments to make it through. The best part is that this is a national class so you can move to any state and use your cerfication which is awesome. I normally don't do well in school but my teacher mr.k worked with our class and everyone passed with b or better on the final during the day.

I was at this institute at the beginning of 2014 and although I had my doubts I stuck with it. My point of view was changed by the instructor who obviously was very well versed in Phlebotomy. The coarse is intense and you do pay a good amount which I find those point to be mute when I was able to finish my exam in 19 minutes. I am a studious person but the rate of understanding along with the instructors obvious know how made me want to engulf myself into the study.

Which I did. I only wish there was more intern practice. I did my internship at a woman's clinic which was also great because I got to meet with regular experience phlebotomist who showed me the ropes and were patient with me in getting my "stickings" done. I would recommend this coarse if you are looking for something fast to learn and with people who have experience. Its a rip off if you are lazy and don't study.

I am sorry to say this but i do not agree on the previous review. i called different phlebotomy schools and LAVI caught my attention due to their flexible schedule and low price and Im glad i chose to come here. Everything we used in the classroom and the uniform was included and at that time even the board exam was included. i did not had to pay for anything else besides the license fee and i paid that to the state.

They even helped me apply for my license. i thought that was something we had to do on our own. The staff is very friendly and the instructor is awesome. i recommend everyone who is interested in earning their certification as a phlebotomist to come here. I totally loved it!

This school was a total headache, from day 1. They did nothing in their power to help the students succeed at Massage Therapy. The only advantage of attending LAVI was that the instructors were amazing. THEY NEED TO FIRE THE ENTIRE OFFICE STAFF! super incompetent, they can't keep track of student hours, you can do over 500 hours and when you go ask for your records they always have a million excuses. THE MAIN THING WRONG WITH LAVI is the OFFICE STAFF and the way that VANA and the ADMINISTRATION is running the school. IT is no longer approved by the CAMTC and I don't blame them.

If the office staff would even take some time to ACKNOWLEDGE that the massage program is important and communicate with the students, call the students, email the students etc. things would be different but they DON'T CARE ATT ALL and I MEAN THIS! they don't do ANYTHING to assist the students. I graduated in November of LAST YEAR and I JUST got LICENSED after spending ton's of money and getting an attorney to handle my stuff.

I HAD TO SPEND MORE MONEY TO FORWARD DOCUMENTS to that CAMTC for the proof of education etc. IF it was up to LAVI I would be lost without any information or if I wasn't proactive about it. They just want tuition payment and you are on your own. They can't even give you books and you have to share the books because they use like 1 book for like 6 students and the office staff gives you copies that are missing pages and printed backwards and just a big mess. PEOPLE PLEASE LOOK AT THE PREVIOUS AND HIDDEN REVIEWS, this place is NOT GOOD AT ALL. And like I said, the school is no longer approved by the CAMTC

This "school" is the absolute worst! All the problems with this place start with the incompetent staff - primarily Vana. She claims to be the admissions director but, after a Google search, I found out she's the owner of this school (along with someone named Eduard Akopian). She lies and tells students that she's not the owner and some guy named Mike is. Lies.

Both have no clue how to run a business and if any state approving agency saw how this place is really run, they'd shut it down immediately. After attempting to call and see her in person many times to discuss how the school is no longer approved by the CA Massage Therapy Council, she avoided me and opted to hide in her office. Student hours are not tracked correctly.

Every time I asked for an update, I was given some made-up number. When I tried to ask for proof of my hours, I was told I couldn't have access to it. Also, attendance is not tracked at all by the instructors. If you show up, great. If not, nobody knows. The only time the school contacts you is if you owe money which, btw, they charge students different amounts.

Do the staff really think that students don't talk about this stuff? The only saving grace is Nana as she's the only one who cares for her students. Stay away from this place!

I 've been a model patient of massage therapy class of this school. I had a good massage experience done by a student but it looks they are already a professional like their instructor who has been very hands on with the student and very knowledgeable and experienced massage instructor. I would definitely recommend this school to the students if they want to pursue their study as a massage theraphist.

I've been attending here since the beginning of the Summer (2012). I have to, the flexibility and professionalism is more than I could have ever hoped for. I have a full-time job, so I the flexibility the school offers is perfect for me. I'm learning so much from all my instructors. Here I don't just have one instructor for any one specific technique but multiplies, which is great to help me to develop my style, while maintaining the proper forms of healing. Anatomy is so indepth that is goes hand in hand with all types of techniques we learn.

Unlike some places I looked into before deciding on which school to attend, we learn all forms and styles of massage. Not just the basic Swedish and Deep tissue. The instructors are more than willing to help and make sure you know everything you need to know. This school is just perfect for you, if you are looking into changing careers. Professionalism at it's best!
