About 1 year ago I started seeing Joseph Richard for my back issues from being a full-time hairstylist. My shoulders were tilted forward and my posture was completely off alignment and I was hurting. After my first session Joseph explained to me what I needed to be doing at home to help fix the problem in between my appointments with him. I did exactly as he told me and within a couple weeks I started seeing huge results and feeling myself again.
During each session he would explain to me how I ended up in such bad shape. He gave me more of a clear understanding of what exactly he was doing to my muscles and why it is important to continue doing what I'm doing at home for strengthening. Visiting him every 4 weeks for regular maintenance to adjust my muscles and release my fascia has been keeping me going as a full-time stylist. I'm so grateful he knew what was wrong with me and helped me fix an extremely painful situation. Along with this five-star review I have a picture of Joseph's beautiful massage room at Jonathan Douglas.

If I could give 10 stars I would. Literally my favorite place to go for a couples massage. It's not just a massage, it's an experience. I always leave feeling relaxed. My boyfriend and I absolutely love coming here. They're kind, professional, courteous, and amazing at giving massages. Every time we leave, we start asking each other when we're going back. We would reccomend in an instant.

My boyfriend and I came to Jonathan's spa for Valentine's day weekend and had an amazing time. Jonathan is so personable and professional. My boyfriend had never had a massage before so he was nervous, but once we were done, he asked when we were coming back! 10/10 experience and definitely worth the money. Thank you Jonathan!

On the first day of a Portland/Acadia vacation my boyfriend and I had a couple's massage with Jonathan and Darlene. This was my first massage/spa visit ever and it was spectacular! We began by sipping on mimosas, eating hors d'ouvres, and relaxing, followed by a simply excellent full body massage. It was a brilliant way to begin a vacation. I know we'll be going again next time we're in Maine.

Jonathan Douglas Salon in to me first class salon definitely five star! I have been going to Jonathan Douglas Salon since he first started doing masaages many years ago. I have gone to other places for massages but no one is a good as Jonathan. He is a natural when it comes to giving massages he seems to know just where the spots are that are causing pain and with his knowledge works through the area.
I would recommend Jonathan Douglas Salon to everyone and anyone. If you want a massage you will never forget you need to come to Jonathan Douglas Salon. He is again the best and I am not one to write reviews but he deserves everyone to know just how excellent he is. Beth Libby

If you are looking for a Great Massage this is the place. Jonathan gives a great deep tissue massage. I had knots in my back I could not put socks on or stand up straight. After my time with Jonathan I was feeling Great. Highly recommend! I don't write a lot of reviews but this is well worth your time for a massage. Thank You Jonathan See you again soon

As a former salon owner, my standards are high, as client, my experiences at Jonathan Douglas have been amazing. I've had 2 couples massages, one with a bestie and one with a sister. Mimosas, yummy snacks, warm ginger foot soak in plush toasty robes. Darlene York Day and Jonathan Glidden are accomplished massage therapists, providing amazing services. Darlene is also my aesthetician, I love her work!
I have referred many of my clients to the professionals at Jonathan Douglas. It's a wonderful experience in a beautifully appointed salon where the staff is welcoming and fun

I went to Jonathan Douglas and I have curly hair and I saw Jim. He did the most through consultation I have ever had and gave me a great education on how to take care of my hair and new color at home. There prices are very reasonable and the service is the best I have ever seen. Check them out I love my new hair! Thanks again Jim I love it.
