Love this place as a refuge from work stress. Nice wooden communal tub, a half hr in there and good conversation with friendly staff and I'm good to go. Have not tried massage yet but I imagine very good, given general standards there.

Very good! I keep meaning to go back. They are defending not the largest bath house I have ever been to but they are the only one I know in Cambridge. It was very clean, the staff was very nice and we chatted for a bit. The big tub is really beautiful wood tub the people my friend and I met were mostly quiet and did not interact but we did meet one couple that chatted with us.

The only thing keeping this 4 stars is the cost. It is more pricey that I would like for the limited offering of one tub but when you need a soak this is a great place! I highly recommend if you are an athletic person needing to relax some muscles.

I have been recommended by many people here as there is a Japanese style Hinoki hot tub. I finally went with my friend for the hot tub and massage. The hype was true- it was extremely relaxing (you can listen your own music in private tub), massage pressure was right- the only difficulty may be the parking but the staffs help you to add coins in meter.

Just had a 60-minute massage here. The staff were very friendly and the place was pleasant and clean. However, the massage itself was mediocre at best. The masseuse's nails kept digging into my skin, his pressure was uneven throughout the massage, and the massage oil had a funky smell. I also asked him to focus more on my neck and lower back, and he maybe spent 20 minutes on those areas. The lights in the room also didn't dim so it was difficult to relax. Just not at all what I was expecting from a $95 massage, especially when they have such high reviews.

This was a wonderful experience with the japanese soaking tub and massage! My massage therapist, Bob I believe, not only was great but gave me tips on some stretches and massages I could do at home to help. My only recommendation is that I would like to see some sort of herbal soak option on the menu with the big tub!

Third Massage(June): 60 minute. I mixed up my appointment time and the reminder voicemail left for me was gargled. I worked through the appointment time and was charged 50% of the cost of the massage. The fee I paid for missing the appointment was more than I made in the hour of work. It was my mistake, but it made me feel that it isn't worth it to spend the time going over their packed schedule with the receptionist to find the one window a month away that's available that sort of fits a normal work life.

It's more emotional than logical, but I'm not as excited about this place as I was - not sure if I'll go back. Second Massage(May): 60 minute. Adrienne J did a great job again. She sometimes gets heavy-handed and she acknowledged that herself. A couple times, I had her lighten up but as soon as she moved to another area, she was heavy-handed again.

There were times it was actually really helpful, though I didn't think it was what I asked for and I wouldn't specifically ask for that much pressure generally. It was incredibly hard to get another massage scheduled for next month after work hours. I expressed a desire to try become a regular and it felt like they were suddenly trying to get me to make long term commitments but were no more helpful in accommodating my schedule.

First Massage(April): This place has a fantastic reputation and it is well-deserved! I did a hot tub and 90 minute massage combo because it's been way too long since I did any self care. Hot tub was great to loosen up my muscles and the staff was just the right amount of welcoming and attentive. Adrienne J did a great job with my massage, addressing problems I didn't even know could be fixed! Already scheduled my next massage.

I can only speak to the wooden tub soak here but it's a great deal and a romantic date night that won't break the bank. Staff are friendly and accommodating -- we were 5 minutes late and they actually let us linger in the bath (unsolicited) an extra few minutes! Premises are clean and well appointed and they provide a wide range of music to listen to as you soak.

Truly a great place to go. It is a smaller spa than most but that is what you get in the Boston area, most buildings are small. They have multiple hot tubs that are available for private parties with a minimum of two people but be sure to reserve your spot at least 2 weeks in advance as they are really popular. They also offer a public hot tub for cheaper that can be paired with a massage for a discount. Will be going back soon!

This place is so great! It was worth the wait in a cold rainy winter day to soak and relax in their tubs. The tubs are made of beautiful wood and so are the floors throughout. The people couldn't be friendlier. It has a quirky feel, but it is not gross or creepy. You might want to call about the wait if you are trying to get in the group tub, or you can reserve a while tub in advance.
