There is only one Mother Spring. Lucky for us, at more than 1,002 feet deep, she's the world's deepest geothermal hot spring and she feeds all 25 of our mineral pools, with temperatures ranging from 45 -114 °F (28-46 °C). That's 25 pools with 25 different moods, personalities and endless experiences.

The most perfect stay! From the moment that we checked in our experience was outstanding, exceeding all our expectations. The young lady at the front desk was helpful and warm, walking us through what was included in our stay. The grounds man showed us around the pools area when we looked a little lost, the bartender in the lounge at the resort was a fantastic historian, and so lovely chatting with us as we listened to live music while we enjoyed drinks before our massage. We stayed only one night but on our way were already talking about our trip back to Pagosa, just so we can enjoy the resort again. Fabulous, fabulous time!

I really enjoyed my time at the springs. The staff are very responsive, the pools are kept clean (yes even with children present). I would totally recommend splurging on the 18+ pools if able. Having the quiet private experience was great. Noah Dean was one of the best parts of the spring as well. Not only was he incredibly patient and quick, he was also incredibly friendly. Can't wait to come back!

Such a beautiful place to relax and enjoy. The service at the front desk was fast and easy! Gigi helped us, and she was so sweet. She even brought up a bottle of champagne for my parents' anniversary. The springs itself were very nice. The view was spectacular especially overlooking the river. The rooms were clean although they were pricey since the amenities are included. Having the private terrace of adult only springs was well worth it although the pools with the hotter temperatures didn't have as nice of a view as those with the 101° pools. Honestly, if you're looking to spend one night here and enjoy the springs as much as you want, it's worth the money, but a long term trip might be very costly.

The springs themselves are beautiful and fantastic for soaking, it's a beautiful spot right on the river and a gorgeous drive into the town of Pagosa. We were excited they had some pet friendly rooms and were able to travel with our cats. What we were NOT excited about was finding the bathrooms hadn't been cleaned when we arrived, evidenced by the hair on the shower walls, and the ants on the floor.

My guess is that they are not cleaning the pet friendly rooms properly to keep the ants from being attracted to pet food. For $50 a night on top of the $399/ a night + resort fees we paid, I would expect them to have the rooms properly cleaned. When I told them about the hair in the shower, they gave me a $15 voucher for food. Later that afternoon I discovered the ants.

It was definitely nice to be so close to the soaking pools but I can't say it's worth it to stay at the resort at those prices when you can stay elsewhere for cheaper, at a $150/a night motel I'd have expected what we found! Ants and an unclean bathroom are NOT what I'd expect at $400 a night. We did get massages at the spa and I definitely recommend that!

My mom and I both enjoyed our massages. I was with Lisa and she was fantastic, great pressure but still very relaxing. My mom LOVED her facial after the massage and said it was very relaxing and one of the best she's had. All around, the pools are great, the spa is great, don't pay the resort prices to stay on campus when they don't clean the rooms properly.

We've made Pagosa Hot Springs Resort an annual destination since our first trip in 2012. There's nothing more relaxing and rejuvenating after a day at Wolf Creek than a soak in the many pools this resort has to offer! The facilities are always clean and well stocked, the service staff is always so friendly and helpful and really makes the experience enjoyable.

It's always worth the wait and we love chatting with guests from all over the world as you look out onto the river or enjoy a winter sunset - our last visit in February was no exception! A special shout out goes to Zach at the front desk who made us feel especially welcome and really made our final night at the springs a special one. Can't wait until next year! Keep up the great work and we really appreciate everything you all do!

I don't stay at the resort as I have a home in Pagosa, but 5 stars for the staff. I don't usually eat at the food stand by the pool, but will occasionally get fries for the kids and the staff there is always really friendly. My favorite is the bar hut near the hot tubs. Great bartenders. Always so welcoming. Ariana is the best! Even when I wasn't planning on getting a drink for myself or a smoothie for the kiddos her big, warm smile is like a magnet. She can make any day brighter just with a small chat.

Beautiful property. The Springs were delightful, we loved going between the 25 different pools available with a dip in the river. It really helped regulate the body temperature and made stay at the springs for hours very relaxing. Lots of people on the weekend, it seemed less crowded in the adults only area, it seemed like those staying at the hotel either had exclusive access to this area or you had to pay more for it if you were just visiting the springs for the day.

Hotel atmosphere was wonderful and inviting with the live music and bar in the main lobby each night. Room was comfortable, though the furnace was a bit loud. Bed was uncomfortable for me, woke up tossing and turning both nights but my husband slept well. The spa had a wonderful energy, Theresa did my Magnesium Muscle Melt and it was very rejuvenating.

The morning cafe had delicious choices. The grill outside by the springs had good choices too. Only complaint there is that the buzzers they give you to alert you that your food is done didn't work, after a half hour we finally came back to check and food had been done for a while and was cold, not too big of a deal except it was over $40 worth of cold food. That was frustrating.

My husband and I chose to road trip for our honeymoon due to pandemic concerns. We decided we wanted the perfect mix of relaxations and adventure. This place will not disappoint! We found the pools and food good and excellent service. 10/10 recommend. We will be back for more trips to come. Richie Summers gets a shout out for being awesome and made our stay so much extra special for our honeymoon. We had an absolute magical time. This is by far our best trip and the staff here are so welcoming and friendly.

The hot springs are cool, but there is no reason to pay a premium for this facility. There are better accommodations really close by like a few hundred feet away. There is nothing special about this "resort " My deluxe room was in an old motel in near of the cool building that is featured on the website. There is nothing awful but I paid $650 for 1 night and got less amenities, services, and relaxation, than I would a got at the quality inn directly across the low traffic street.

I highly recommend staying at a normal hotel and just buying a pass. You do get 24 hour access to the springs as a guest, wich could be good if you want less people. However when it closes to the public at 10 pm, all the facilities close too, no bathrooms no services, no lights. So bring a flash light and be prepared to find you way back to your room, which could be further away than you are expecting.

Also although they say you get unlimited bathrobes and towels, they could not exchange anything because they only had 1 washing machine for the entire hot springs (resort and walk in guests), many guests did not get anything to dry off with and it was below freezing. The staff tried to accommodate guests the best they could. But the facilities have cut every corner. Luckily guests had accepted the constant disappointment by the time they got to the towel-less bathhouse. It's hard to believe most of the reviews on here are not paid for.

We are members at The Springs Resort & Spa, and recently visited on a pretty busy night. We had friends in town and wanted to show them how great the hot springs were. Knowing how busy things were, Zach O. took great care of us, and ensured that us and our guests were able to find open pools and have a great experience. Perhaps this was because we were some of the only guests wearing masks in the lobby, or perhaps Zach is just a really friendly and helpful member of the staff. Either way, we had a great time!
