So sad how the employees are treated. I spoke today to the owner, and she denies how she treats them. I have been there many times and I gave great reviews on their services. But when I asked how my daughter who is 7 months pregnant is treated there, Juanita the owner was very combative. My daughter came in for work when other employees had Covid. I called Juanita the owner because I respected her because of previous interactions. I don't feel that way today.

Been here 3 times and many more to come. Every person I had was AMAZING and listen to where I need more hand work than other areas and did perfect. Left relaxed and felt amazing after every session. A+/5's

I saw Matt. He did an excellent job with being calm, trauma informed, and therapeutic. First time having trigger point massage and it released a lot of toxins. He did a thorough job in the massage work, and used consent language throughout. However, he is very fluid in his concept of time. Rather than watching the clock, he attends to body needs. I didn't have anywhere to be and thought originally I was getting a 60 min massage.

He asked to expend to 75 mins and i consented. The massage lasted much longer and though I had nowhere I had to be (which I communicated), and am appreciative of the gift of time which benefited my body greatly, I wasn't sure how to process my views on such a long massage without knowing how long it truly was until afterwards

I did research this company in search for a place that did professional couple's massage. They offer a large variety of massage types and therapeutic services. I do plan to book an appointment with them for its going to be my boyfriend's 52nd birthday . I WILL ABSOLUTELY LEAVE ANOTHER POST ABOUT OUR EXPERIENCE! I have my hopes up for a wonderful time. So fingers crossed that I will not be disappointed. I did see that it is expensive but it would be worth the services if things go as described.

L.D. was awesome, and took care of some shoulder issues I have had trouble with for some time. Perfect pressure, and super professional. He also has got a funny sense of humor, and even though it caught my tired brain off guard at first, it was appreciated. If you got muscle pain, L.D. won't disappoint!

Matt is an amazing therapist. I am impressed with his deep tissue massage and attention to pain points. I very much enjoy his massages and our conversations. The facility is also very clean and inviting.

The experience at Hands In Harmony is enjoyable from start to finish. Booking an appointment online is easy to do and being able to confirm, cancel or reschedule by text is a very quick and handy feature. The atmosphere is relaxing and the staff friendly and professional. Booking a service here is a great investment in your health.

I'm so appalled by the worst and weirdest spa experience I've ever had. I'm still trying to find the words. I booked a mini spa package for myself and a friend that included a hot stone massage, reflexology, and a mini facial yesterday. I've been to numerous spas over the years and have had many professional massages but my experience yesterday was just baffling and a waste of money.

We were taken into one room but were never asked if we wanted to be in the same room for our services. Being in the same room wasn't a huge deal but separate rooms were expected. The room was slightly small for two massage beds and the walls were thin, I heard laughter and talking through the wall throughout my experience there. The hot stone massage was nice although the pressure was very light, I felt caressed more than massaged.

The reflexology massage I got was just plain weird. Not only was the touch feather light but I felt an odd sensation like my toes were being sucked. I've gotten plenty of foot massages and never one with weird sensations and like the lady was hardly touching my feet. Most appalling though was that right after she finished touching my feet, she came around and started touching my face.

I smelt hand sanitizer and mind you, there are no sinks in the massage room. UNSANITARY AND UNPROFESSIONAL. Even more mortifying was that the lady put her fingers in my ears and just sat there with her fingers in my ears? What is the point of that? I've never had anyone do that to me. After she took her fingers out of my ears, she went and touched my face again.

I feel terrible that my friend had a crappy first spa experience as well. The only thing she enjoyed was the hot stone massage. I will never come back. This was a waste of money. I'm not sure how this place has been open for so long with service like this. Or maybe the locals haven't been to real professional places because there's only a few spas worth visiting here. This definitely is NOT one of them.

When you first walk in you are greeted by someone at the front desk who offers you a beverage and brings you to a separate waiting room. There are salt rocks everywhere and just has an overall relaxing atmosphere. I was then greeted by Abbey, who was my massage therapist and she directed me to the room. I chose a combo massage/facial and we started with the massage.

She utilized different techniques to work on the knots in my upper back and it felt great and was really relaxing. Then I had a 30 minute facial, which was the best facial I've ever had! With every product Abbey applied, she massaged my face the whole time and when the mask was applied, she massaged my face, shoulders, upper chest, and upper back the entire time.

Previous places I have been apply the mask and walk away or prep other products, so I loved that she utilized that time to give me a massage. It was so relaxing and much needed. Abbey was fantastic-I would definitely request her for my future appointments. If you need a great place to go and relax, I highly recommend Hands in Harmony!

The establishment was nice and airy with the expected shades of purple. In the lobby they have all kinds of merchandise from salt lamps to lotions to tea and jewelry. The person that gave me my massage took quite awhile getting health background information, which I was very pleased with. So my massage was more therapeutic as opposed to relaxing. (It did relax too) She could determine right away which parts needed to be worked on. I'm looking forward to my appointment next week.

The setting and atmosphere of this place has changed greatly over the many years I have been using this facility. Other the last year, I started going fewer and fewer times, as it is not as professional as it once was. In October 2019, I decided it would be my last visit. If you have any great suggestions for local and professional place to receive a great massage, please list your suggestions, as I am in the market and long overdue for a massage.

Love this place. Staff is friendly. Always nice and accommodating to last minute requests. Tappy is great if you are looking for a deep tissue massage. Price is good. And they aim to please. Love this place.

My back was in terrible pain from tense muscles. This was my first appointment and it won't be my last. When you enter the room, soft, calming music is playing. Its a very welcoming atmosphere. Stacy did everything possible to alleviate my pain. My back feels so much better and I no longer have a headache or pinching in my back. Reasonable prices, as well. $40 for half an hour and $75 for an hour. There are also hot stone massages but you need to check pricing. Thanks for a great first visit.

I booked the ultimate spa getaway for today. They have renovated the lobby since my last visit. The new relaxation room was bright & chilly. Didn't get much relaxation done before my service. Tappi was my massage therapist. I have had her before. She is excellent at listening to what I want & applying the correct pressure for me. I had a knee injury about 8 weeks ago & she listened & made sure that her pressure wasn't too much.

She also did reflexology to try & help heal my knee. I got a whirlpool soak next. It was ok. Pretty room but the water wasn't as warm as I would have liked so after 15 or so minutes it was chilly. So I got out. Connie did my facial & pretty hands & feet scrub. It was very relaxing. She asked questions about my normal skin care routine, life style & any issues I have.

She made recommendations for things to help my skin Overall, a great experience. Just wish it wasn't so chilly & bright in the relaxation room & the whirlpool was warmer.

Amazing! Relaxing! My husband and I try to treat ourselves during our wedding anniversary to a massage and we always frequent Hands in Harmony. After leaving, we always wonder why we don't go more often. The therapists are knowledgeable in massage and I was really happy to learn that the therapist I saw this time had education regarding fibromyalgia.

I left feeling like a dream! She helped to reduce the pain, numbness and tingling in the areas I had labeled as troublesome, but even more than that, she reduced pain in areas I hadn't paid attention to. I felt phenomenal afterwards and will definitely return!

I want to thank HIH for honoring a gift card my husband had thrown away on accident! Not many places would do that and I am extremely thankful! I also have to say after our last experience the manager had contacted us and apologized for mixing us up with the other couple which was nice. This location also updated the quiet room which is larger and has more of a relaxing feel.

This appointment I had a facial. It was nice and I will definitely give the massage services a try again! I have been to this spa for massages several times. It's good, but not extraordinary like a few other spas I have been to. On arrival one awaits in the "quiet room" however the "quiet room" is very over stimulating. It's brightly lit with magazines and coloring books everywhere.

I also noticed that the paint is chipped in places, this I feel it could use some updating. As for the massage I had a hot stone massage. It's not worth the extra $$. I felt like it was just stones gliding over my body rather than pressure to relieve my right muscles. I have a small frame so I am not sure if the massage therapist was scared of hurting me?

I also felt like the massage was choppy and kind of lazily performed. She did not spend much time on my problem areas. Her best massage was probably my feet which felt great but I wish she would have spent more time on my neck and upper back where I hold my tension. I will say the warmth of the hot stones felt good, but I did not feel any relief post massage.

This spa has also mixed my husband and I up with another couple and so we waited about half an hour before being seen. I like the therapies this place offers however I just have not been impressed with the services.

As an out of town business traveler I was just looking for a relaxing massage to take the stress out of a long drive. It can be hit or miss when you don't have any references from people who have personally experienced the services offered at a spa or a massage location. Although Hands in Harmony will never be confused with a high end spa the ambiance and caring professionals all were exactly what I was looking for: a mid priced, willing to accept an appt within 30 min, clean and well managed experience. Molly was a consummate professional in all aspects of the massage and provided a very comfortable relaxing experience. And she was about as pleasant as she could be. I will definitely return the next time I'm in town.

Had an excellent combo massage with Melanie. She has a great energy and is very attentive and accommodating to unique needs. She demonstrated several massage techniques and let me choose the massage that worked best for me. I felt very welcome and comfortable with her and felt great (mentally and physically) leaving that day! Will be working on the stretches she taught me to improve my posture and flexibility in between visits.

My husband and I got a couples massage. And it was so insanely relaxing. Paul was my therapist, and i feel like there's typically some weird stigma with male therapists but Paul was awesome! Super kind and professional. My husband had Melanie, who was also very nice with skillful training (my husband said she could tell each of his pressure points and gave an amazing massage) they both were sure to make sure we were comfortable and that they applied pressure to our liking.

After our massage they gave us tips and advice on what our sensitive/sore spots were and how we can work ourselves to prevent pain. They were so awesome! We will definitely come back!

My friend Maria recommended Hands in Harmony for an orthopedic massage. I have had back problems for years which my chiropractor can't fix because my muscles are so tight. After this massage my chiropractor said "Holy cow, your back has finally loosened up!" I feel so much better.

There was some scheduling issues, on both mine and the salons part. I wasn't thrilled with how it was handled. HOWEVER the owner herself reached out to me and personally apologized and thanked me for my business. That meant a ton! I am one of those people where an apology goes along way. I have been there several times and due to my horrible schedule hardly ever get the same person twice. All therapist have been wonderful! I look forward to may more great massages, and highly recommend them. Thank you!

I am visiting from out of town, really needed to de-stress. After combing through various places on Yelp, I found Hands In Harmony. I booked an hour massage with anyone that was available. I got Kelly, she was FABULOUS! She asked me about pressure, problem areas, etc. Very professional. She started & I immediately felt relaxed (not normal for me). I was so relaxed and even caught myself snoring. I can only wish that they were in my town instead of cedar rapids.

I booked two massages for a girls' weekend because my good friend enjoys a massage. I requested some less hands-on things for myself (time on a heated mat and a hand massage). I got talked into a foot massage as well, but should have held my ground. My fault. I didn't have a pleasant experience. Don't let me book these services if your masseuse is going to treat it like it's the oddest thing they've ever encountered.

It made me supremely uncomfortable. The hand massage was pretty weak and, oddly, my foot massage was so aggressive I came away with bruises, swelling, and lingering pain. My companion experienced some of this as well: a weak body massage and bruises on the tops of her feet! Finally, after surviving the massage (as I came to imagine it), I was enjoying shopping in the little gift store (great selection of stones and crystals), when my masseuse, Tony, took it upon himself to massage my neck and shoulders when I had just expressly stated that I don't find body touch by strangers to be relaxing, actually quite to the contrary, which is why I booked the hand and foot massage in the first place.

This is absolutely unacceptable. I just told you that I didn't want something and you lay hands on me in the gift shop? No. We won't return, and they have damaged any desire I may have had to explore massage further. This should have been a positive first experience.

I have visited Hands in Harmony on two occasions during which I taught energy healing classes. I found the personnel to be very friendly and extremely helpful. In addition to teaching in their classroom space, my students used several of the healing rooms. Each was nicely furnished with a soothing color painted on the walls. Lovely relaxing music wafts throughout the center, and the students found that during their practice sessions they were able to deeply relax in the very nurturing environment.

They also have a nice gift shop where customers can select from an array of healing crystals, aromatherapy oils, healing jewelry and more. The entire center was very clean, and quiet. I was on a very tight travel schedule and unfortunately I was unable to personally schedule a massage. However, I heard several very satisfied customers exclaim that their massage was "the Best ever!" If I am in the area again, I will be sure to schedule time for a massage.
