Property = gorgeous Food = delicious Cocktails = thoughtfully comprised Staff = hospitable and friendly So ya. That about sums it up. Great, great, great location with not much left in regards to "voids". The room (Captain's room) was cozy and was perfect for what we needed it for, literally a place to sleep. I think they could have at least upgraded the TV's but totally understand why it's not a priority. Although, if the weather hadn't had held up. I'm thinking a larger TV could have come in handy. Excellent spot to spend a night and get some down time with your significant other.

The ambience of the spa was nice, nothing too special or over the top. Just a nice ambience. I scheduled a deep tissue massage several weeks ago. The massage Heidi gave me was pleasant, but I was very disappointed, as this was definitely not a "deep tissue "massage. I also felt everything was very rushed. The massage Itself had very fast movements, just something I am not used to, especially with deep tissue.

Since the massage time was cut by 10 minutes due to sanitizing they said, I asked not to massage my legs or feet and to focus mainly on my neck shoulders and lower back. I was told they do a full body massage and they could not do a focus massage. Again I have never experienced this anywhere else I've ever gone, the therapist usually asks where you want them to focus. This visit was due to a gift certificate given to me, I will use the rest of the certificate in a different area of the spa, just not for another massage.

I came here for the spa and was taken back by the beauty and tranquility of the grounds. There are flower gardens, animals, fresh fruit and produce growing, chicken and peacock! The grounds are well maintained and are free to walk for everyone using their facility. The spa service was excellent and, though can be pricier than other spas, was well worth the extra money.

There are well marked paths that bring you to ponds that have swan, geese, and duck, as well as waterfalls. I would highly recommend coming here. I am looking forward to coming back.

Pricey Easter brunch but we'll worth it (as always). Great food, locally sourced. Wonderful atmosphere in the barn. Treat yourself to the best special occasion brunch in the Hudson Valley!

Buttermilk Falls Inn and Spa is absolutely beautiful. The grounds are phenomenal, with a lovely view of the Hudson, picturesque ponds, and rolling greens. The owners have rescued most (all?) of the animals, which were so fun to visit. Make sure check out their beautiful aviary, with 2 chickens coops and the peacocks are a riot. If you're staying in the North Cottage you will definitely hear them coo and squawk!

Our experience with the staff was excellent-everyone was super friendly and they went above and beyond to help us. Dinner at Henry's was amazing-if you like cocktails, highly recommend the Bees Knees and the scallops were delicious. Breakfast is included-it's a small menu with impressive execution by Chef Jennie - who would have thought Zucchini Walnut pancakes would be so life-changing! Overall, our stay was lovely and restful-a truly beautiful property, and we can't wait to come back!

Didn't even get to stay here. I will never do so now! My fiance and I booked the bridal suite for her to get ready in (we are not getting married at buttermilk) back in august of 2021. We paid in FULL $1300 for 2 nights. Later that week my fiance called to make sure everything was good and we did in fact get the bridal suite for those days. Fast forward to today (5/25/22) which is 3 weeks till our wedding and she gets a phone cal from the staff at buttermilk saying the "system" should not have allowed us to book the bridal suite and that they have a wedding on site that day and we can only stay Thursday night and not Friday night.

Long story short, all they could do for us is offer a older house not on the property which was apparently "an upgrade". We only booked this spot because of how close it is to where we are getting married, and now they want us to walk down 9w to go to the "upgraded" house. Absolutely horrible customer service. I will never recommend this place to anyone. We got our money back and now need to find some where else to stay.

BUTTERMILK FALLS stole our money! AVOID at all costs. My friends and I booked for a girls weekend and, unfortunately, our party was came down with Covid. We called Buttermilk to tell them before our arrival, they did not get back to us until after our arrival. They wouldn't honor a credit and stole $4000 from us with zero service given. They basically ghosted us. Gina (manager) was rude and unresponsive and Bob Wilson (GM) was non existent. DO NOT book Buttermilk. Their customer service and hospitality was atrocious.

I was here in January. Beautiful grounds and a very nice room. It was an extremely restful and peaceful few days. The best part was the food at the restaurant - some of the best food I've ever had and the drinks were great too. Included breakfast was yummy and made to order and daily tea-time was a cute touch also. I also got a massage which was out of this world. Thank you.

Annemarie C. at Henry's restaurant and in catering is a pleasure! She is so knowledgeable about the whole property including the restaurant (Henry's), the spa, the rooms, and on-site farm. She goes above and beyond to treat the guests like family, and what a sense of humor! This lovely place located in a small town in upstate New York is a great getaway or day trip for brunch plans, a spa day, or a night at Henry's.

For brunch, I recommend their french toast and chicken & waffle. For dinner, my favorite is their truffle risotto. At the spa (only a few steps away from the restaurant) I have received both the signature and falls massage, however, I didn't see a huge difference in either service. Both were great and I will be returning. Although it is an expensive place, it is worth it!

Ehh I've been to Buttermilk falls spa before the pandemic occurred and it was OK. It's a beautiful relaxing environment with lovely amenities. They are renovating, have been for a year and plan to for another year. A little crazy that my daughter received gift certificates here BECAUSE of the pool yet we are unable to use any spa amenities like showers, locker room, sauna, and pool. This is a HUGE factory to know before you go. Maybe we'll see you next year buttermilk!
