I came in by ambulance early around 239 this morning and was in the Er for about 2hrs they check me out well for chest pains. I then was told I would admitted to the hospital itself. Was told around 6am it is now almost 2pm. I was supposed to go home 2hrs ago. Now I am just awaiting them finishing take out the monitors. So I can home. Overall it has been a wonderful experience. Keep up the great work!

L brought my mother for some lab work and imaging. Our medical experience was exquisite! Everybody in lab and imaging department were super polite and patient and professional! However we had a terrible experience with the lady sitting at the information desk! Irene was very rude, aggressive with an extremely condesending behavior! Very disapointing for such a great medical center to have a very unprofessional, rude person at the entrance!

I have been dealing with a number of health issues recently and Boulder Community Health has been a major player in the big picture. My family doctor is in the Boulder Community Health group, as is the clinic he works with. I have to compliment the varying number of doctors and their agencies that they work with for their communication amongst them regarding my health care.

I have been consistently disappointed with the lack of communication between the health care offices taking care of me. It was a great surprise to find that they were actually talking to each other. I'm giving them all a good solid thumbs up.

I went to the Boulder Community Hospital ER with sharp abdominal pains after seeing an urgent care doctor who thought it may be apendisitis and require immediate attention. I checked to verify this hospital was within my insurance network and they gave me an estimated quote of $468-$975 for the CT Scan. I walked into the ER (no ambulance or any assistance was required).

All they did was a CT scan and then let me go. I was in and out of the ER in less than 90 minutes (which was quick I understand and was thankful for that at least). The bill? $18,000! There is no justification for an $18,000 bill. I spoke to the hospital and my insurance as well and they explained that the hospital can charge whatever they want. There is no regulation to what hospitals can charge and its complete robbery.

Check 10 different hospitals and you'll get 10 different prices, all for the same service. I would have been better off paying cash as then it would have been a different price, they explained to me.?!?! Same service, just different price based on who's paying. This hospital overcharges, especially if you have insurance. This should be illegal. Our healthcare system in the US is a disaster and Boulder Community Hospital is a prime example of it.

My experience with BCH Imaging in the last 6 months has been poor. I went for a breast MRI because I am high risk (switching from UCHealth because of new insurance). They didn't bother to ask to get my prior images sent in order to compare them. I didn't remember until too late, but it's part of their job (scheduling to ask for them, and radiologist to compare them).

Then they requested a follow-up diagnostic mammogram on one side. The tech tried to convince me to get a screening mammogram on the other side, despite the fact that I had just weeks ago had a normal MRI of that breast. The radiologist didn't bother to come out to communicate the results of the diagnostic mammogram, I had to wait until the tech came out and told me second-hand. Then, when billing my insurance for the MRI, they put the wrong prior authorization number on the form.

I have spent hours on the phone over the last several months trying to figure out what was going on and sort it out with the insurance company. Finally, they sent a letter reminding me it's time for follow-up imaging. Thankfully I'm able to go back to UCHealth, so I called and left a message (as requested) telling them to remove me from the mailing list as I'm getting my imaging elsewhere.

They ignored this message and sent the same letter again via Certified Mail. If you can avoid going to BCH for imaging, I'd recommend you do so. If you go, please watch out to make sure they are doing what they're supposed to. They seem to be all-around incompetent or uncaring.

I normally don't let myself come to the ER for pain but I had such excruciating pain in my neck I decided to come in. I waited an hour and all they provided me was an icee hot pack which I had explained to the staff I used and and it did not reduce the swelling or the PAIN. That was all they did. I am actually shocked. I was prescribed a muscle relaxer but there are no pharmacies open, you'd think a massive emergency room could help provide you something to reduce your pain but apparently that's too much to ask for in fully functioning hospital in a wealthy area, even though I'm sure I'll receive a thousand dollar bill for a the total lack of care or help I received.

I feel like I just got gaslit by a male worker that just wanted to go home. Also, I was treated by two individuals that never introduced themselves or if they were nurses or doctors. I will not be paying this medical bill since I did not receive any care past an icee hot patch, so you can charge me the 15$ for that. Absolute malpractice. And further down the line when I actually receive proper medical care for the price it's worth and there IS something wrong, let's just say you'll be hearing from me!

I genuinely think this ER should be shut down, because even if there is something wrong with you that requires emergency attention, they will not provide the care you need. Absolutely horrified to ever go to the ER again.

Absolutely horrible experience. I arrived at the emergency room after going into anaphylaxis from accidentally eating cashews. The minute I walked in, I collapsed on the floor and the staff shouted at me to get up, then heckled me for not wearing a mask (I understand the circumstances with COVID, but I was literally in anaphylaxis; wearing a mask was the last thing on my mind).

I wasn't feeling good, so I sat down on a chair in the lobby and immediately threw up. Then, the staff accused me of being drunk even though my boyfriend had already explained the situation to them. I could barely walk to the room, and collapsed again, but was not offered a wheelchair or any support from staff (my boyfriend had to hold me up). The people who administered my IV and asked for my insurance and pharmacy information in the room were very nice, but I had to explain 3 times that I do not live Boulder, I do not go to CU Boulder, and my pharmacy was in Denver.

As a person of color, I have had bad experiences at doctors offices before, but this was easily the worst. Avoid this hospital if you can. EDIT: I arrived at the ER on 2/18/2022 at about 8:30 PM

Staff is extremely slow. One nurse left an IV catheter in my arm and I had to find another nurse to ask him to take it out. The same nurse also overheard that Id been drinking and very rudely asked if I was 21, which I am. Was in the ER all day and literally nobody came to check on me or release me, telling me for over three hours that they were getting through other patients and that I would be next. Hopefully never have to come here again. Edit: if you want friendly and fast service, foothills hospital is the way to go! Truly one of the best hospitals out there.

The professionalism of everybody from the secretary.to the nurses are remarkable. I could not ask for a more enjoyable experience considering what I just went through with spinal surgery. Thank you so much! You have given me back my mobility and will be scrambling very soon.

I just had a hip surgery at Boulder community. It was a great experience. The nurses were so sweet and helpful. I felt they were compassionate along with being knowledge, and organized. They're professionals and work hard. I would highly recommend having surgery there.
