Certified Massage Therapist, Julie Kirby (LMT #6502) approaches each massage session with a confident touch guided by specific training of anatomy and body movement along with a keen sense of personal intuition making a truly individualized experience for each customer. She constantly works at improving and adding to her techniques through continuing her personal education through workshops, classes and mentorship in an effort to provide her clients with the most effective treatments she can.
Julie has got training in Sports, Swedish, Pre-Natal, Hot Stone, Polarity, Trigger Point Therapy, and Lomi-Lomi (traditional Hawaiian) Massage.
She strongly trusts in an integrated, holistic approach to restoring and preserving health and encourages massage therapy as an integral part of the body’s ability to heal itself.
She graduated from the College of Charleston with a Bachelors Degree in Interpersonal Communications. In addition to being a full-time licensed Massage Therapist, she is also a Massage Instructor at the Charleston School of Massage, a Professional Member of ABMP, (Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals) and is certified in CPR. She has practices yoga regularly and has completed her Yoga Teacher Training Certification (200 hr.).
